About Birmingham Science Park Aston
"The Opportunity to Innovate through Partnership"
Birmingham Science Park Aston is located in the heart of Birmingham, occupying a 22 acre campus next to one of the major arterial roads into the city centre. There is excellent access to major motorways, Birmingham’s mainline railway services at New Street Station are a 15 minute away and BSPA is just 30 minutes from Birmingham International Airport.
The new BSPA strategy is focused on a service offering for founders of new technology ventures as well as more established businesses. The services include a new multi-occupancy start-up facility and a wide range of flexible office units (115-15,000 square feet), but the focus is on providing an interactive supportive environment where innovators can interface with like-minded people. It is about encouraging people to visit, re-visit and then relocate to the park. It is about partnership to gain understanding, to fill-in the missing pieces of the successful business puzzle – to help innovators and entrepreneurs succeed.
The BSPA offering currently accommodates over 70 businesses accessing:
- BSPA’s new incubator the ‘Entrepreneurs for the Future Centre’
- office accommodation for 1 person to 200 people
- flexible licenses and leases
- robust IT provision to the park and excellent ICT support services, including free Microsoft software/support for software development start-ups
- 24 hour access and security
- on-site meeting and conference facilities
- dedicated business development team
- comprehensive events calendar

Its focus will be on creating interfaces between the Clean Tech, Digital Media, Creative and Medtech/Healthcare Sectors through the application of innovative ICT services and facilities, and indeed, new ICT businesses. These interfaces will stimulate wealth, and hence job creation through exciting new businesses and smarter new ways of working.
