Science Park client supports Liverpool Implement ProSquad7 within Academy

Five-times European Cup winners Liverpool have strengthened their association with Scout7 by implementing the company's ProSquad7 management application into their Academy. Scout7 are based in Birmingham Science Park Aston’s technology innovation centre.

Under the leadership of Academy Director Frank McParland, the Kirkby-based Academy is currently in the process of setting up a number of initiatives designed to track player development from the moment a youngster comes through one of their youth development centres, right through to when they are ready to sign professional forms.

As part of this process, ProSquad7 will provide the club with a centralized, online solution to assist in the management of various Academy departments - including youth player recruitment, internal coaching, performance management and medical and rehabilitation.

The solution will ensure the Liverpool Academy benefits from some of the most advanced, pioneering technologies available in sport today for the benefit of player development.

McParland, who was appointed along with new Technical Manager Jose Segura and former First Team Manager Kenny Dalglish this summer, believes that the introduction of ProSquad7 will ultimately help the Academy achieve some of its key long term goals.

"Our aim is for the Academy to be a world-leading centre for elite athlete development, where each player has all the resources available at their disposal to make the grade as a professional footballer with Liverpool FC. We believe that by introducing technologies such as ProSquad7, we can retain knowledge of best practices, understand how different players progress and monitor the work of our coaches and scouts, which will all play a part in the building of the long-term legacy we want."

Scout7's Managing Director Lee Jamison is thrilled that the company's association with one of Europe's biggest clubs is continuing for the forseeable future.

He says: "Our relationship with Liverpool goes back to 2002, when they were one of the very first clubs to recognize the benefits of using ProScout7 to manage scouting information online - a system which is now used by more than 100 clubs worldwide.
